“There can be no greater issue than that of conservation in this country” - Teddy Roosevelt

In the Fall of 2014, the Friends of PlymptonPARKS launched the “Build a Bridge to the Ridge” campaign in an effort to raise money to support the construction of the boardwalk to connect Churchill Park to the Cato’s Ridge Conservation Area and the O’Neil marsh and for general support of the PARKS. The Campaign allowed donors to contribute as little as $50 to be recognized with a plank on the boardwalk. Additional sponsorship levels were available for donors who wanted to provide additional funds to the park. The campaign was hugely successful with the goal met early on in the fundraising effort. Thanks to the generous donations, we were able to complete the boardwalk in the Summer of 2015 and open the PARKS to the public in October 2015.

The Friends of PlymptonPARKS - along with the Plympton Conservation Commission and the Plympton Open Space Committee - extend their warmest thanks to the following partners and key supporters, who each gave vital support to the creation of Churchill Park, Cato’s Ridge Conservation Area and the O’Neil marsh.
